Automatic car wash
I got a question, i have a 2015 zl1 and i was wondering if anybody knows if i can run it thru an automatic car wash, i heard somebody tell me that i cant bcuz it might mess up a rim or something. if someone can tell yes or no that would be great

GM states in one of there videos and in writing to not bring your car to one of those car wash places

No way. Your tires most likely are too wide for the tracks. You will most definately scuff up your rims. Take it to a manual wash without the tracks and you should be ok.

I never would run mine through any automatic, IMO. I would say the touch less only without the tracks, or hand wash it and stay away from the other one where the contaminated brushes spinning @ 100MPH scratch all your paint, and rip everything off your car!

The owners manual states not to run a ZL1 thru a car wash. The rear wheels are too wide.

yeah, do not do it! Those tracks that pull the car through will destroy your beautiful wheels. Plus, hand washing gets you a much better clean anyway.

I use the touchless car wash. Does a beautiful job and no problem with the paint or wheels or anything. It's true, hand washing is the best bet but not everyone has the time or right place to hand wash.
