Eaton differential question
Morning every one. Has any one used the Eaton true trac in a L99 car for strip and road course use?
How does the Eaton install affect traction control and stabilitrac or do they need to be turned off?

M6, no issues on road courses or drag racing.

Tim aka hrd wrk has L99 with Eaton, maybe he'll see this post. He has done autoX.
I have the Eaton, but only drag race.

2010SSRSM6 , Pro Stock John Thanks for the response. I am really thinking it could be helpful to go the Eaton route.

Pro Stock John I may have done some damage to differential also. Had a cv joint go on the drivers side axle. The one at the wheel flange.
DSS quickly sent a RMA to send the axle to them. On the way to them now. Will know more in a couple of days. Differential cover has to come off to check it out. May replace stock differential with Eaton unit while it's opened up. Rodgers Chevrolet will be doing the work.

Feel like im at a bar and my name is Norm....hahaha.
Yes I drag race (primary) and Autocross as fill in with local guys. yes i got an Eaton to permanently resolve bad clutches and one wheel peel. All nannies off for drag. All nannies off for autox , except when there are walls close to running lane. Fish tailed a little close to one at 82mph. I keep the stabilitrac on for those or if there's alot of sand on the track.never have had issues. I understand your concern. I had the same too before i bought mine. I asked a ton of people on the road racing and no one said they had problems. Get the LPW cover and a gear. Enjoy. Tim

HRD_WRK Thanks for the info. I will know more in a couple of days on the possible differential damage. The axles will be here today. Thank god, Camaro withdrawal sucks:-)
