There's a current deal running on motor oil from Pennzoil I thought I would post. If this is not allowed in the forums, then feel free to tell me (or the mods can) and I will remove it.

Pennzoil is running a promotion where you receive $10 off EVERY 5Quart Full Synthetic motor oil jug you buy. Or $2 off every 1Quart bottle. (up to $48 back from the entire year of 2016-2017).

This deal is currently featured by Amazon and some other online and offline retailers but you have to check. The link features Amazons which is fine. If you have never taken any Pennzoil deals for this year, you can get up to 4x 5Quarts and get $40 back from Pennzoil. This is a mail-in rebate meaning you pay full price and then follow the fairly simple instructions to mail them proof (50c postage in letter envelope). The postmark date of year-end is also very liberal whereas most only allow 2-weeks after ship date.

The motor oils on sale that are compatible with most 5th+ V8 Camaros (Full Synthetic SAE 5W-30 w/ GM4718M and API cert) are:

Pennzoil Platinum Full Synthetic Motor Oil 5Q (5W-30) - $11.22 ($2.25 / Quart)

Pennzoil Ultra Platinum Full Synthetic Motor Oil 5Q (5W-30) - $17.97 ($3.6 / Quart)

The default recommended Mobil1 Full Synthetic 5W-30 GM4718M 5Q is $27 at Walmart and $37 at Advance Auto for comparison.

From what I've read on the corvette forums, it seems the Ultra Platinum could be regarded as one of the best GM4718M motor oils out there. And if you don't agree so, maybe the price of the two can convince you to take it as temporary oil used during engine intake/manifold/valve cleaning sessions or when you replace and break-in other engine components. At the very least, whatever your opinions are of this specific motor oil, it is currently by-far the cheapest V8 Camaro GM Certified motor oil you can buy that meets all specs.

The promotion end-date is weird at the moment. Amazon lists it as ending on April 30 but the actual promotion card notes it as the end of this year. If you buy it now then you don't have to worry I guess.

Also, the Ultra Platinum ships in 1-2 month while the others ship ASAP if you have Prime. I was planning on changing my motor oil during the exact time period the Ultra Plat will ship so I bought two 5Q jugs.

Good luck and hope this works for you guys! I don't typically count dollars on important fluids considering their comparatively small double digit $ size but this is just too good in my opinion.
