CA Dealer Still Asking $80K For 2015 Z/28

Went to my "favorite" dealer today because I've noticed this 2015 Z/28 languishing in their showroom. Knowing that 2017's (and possibly a 2017 Z/28) may be gracing their showroom in a few months, I thought they may be looking to make a deal. I didn't bother to stick around for the 8+ trips to the magic back room, mostly because they were starting at $80,000.00. And it has 209 miles on it.

Is what I read on this forum true, Z/28 owners - that a NEW 2015 can be had for less? Sometimes a lot less? Thanks.

Here's the listing: http://www.chevyworld.com/VehicleSea...ww.google.com/

When I was getting my ZL1 the dealership offered me their Z28 for $58k cause it hadn't moved in months... $80k seems a tad bit high

Mid 50's seems to be the norm now especially when GM had the discount

I've been keeping tabs on all NEW z/28's for sale. One went for 55k even in OH this week, and one went for 87k (gasp) in NV. Depends a lot on where you live, but even then..always search around. It would have been cheaper for them to buy out of state and ship than to pay 87k.

Thanks. Yeah, drive it home from out of state for fun for $22K+. If anyone see's an ad or can get a bill of sale, it would be appreciated.

Worst deal I ever walked away from. Here's some in the hi 40's and even one in AZ with 255 miles for $54K. That's only a 14hr drive for me.

Move on them while you can. They will soon start to appreciate. There will be no Z/28 for 2017. There will be a ZL1 and the 1LE. I have no inside info. Just a gut feeling. Both of which will eclipse our Z/28s in performance. However. There are only 1800ish of ours worldwide and that will make it so much more special.

There are 64 new listed on Cargurus. That's way down from just month or 2 ago. However, over half of them are listed at high $60's and above and several at MSRP.

Wondering if dealers believe the car will start to move as new inventory supply declines and people who've been on the fence begin realizing they may miss out. Who knows... just a thought. Can't imagine any other reason why they are holding firm at this point.
