Parade today.
Our car club took several Iwo Jima survivors from the New Britain, Ct VFW, on
The Iwo Jima Survivors Victory Ride Parade. A couple hundred motorcycles with police escort. My passenger was Tom Smith, 94, survived 3 Jap islands. Was wounded 3 times but not a scratch on Iwo. Still sharp as a tack. |

Thanks guys. Tom Smith was a Marine in the 4th Marine division. My Father, John Carson
was also in the 4th, and killed on Iwo Jima 2/23/45, so this was a very special day for me.
