Here's an easy test anyone can do, simply place an E2 or Elite E2-X Catch Can inline AFTER any other Catch Can and how much gets by the other brands. A Catch Can with a design such as the Moroso will only trap about 15-20% and the rest will flow right through and still be ingested. Same with the Mighty Mouse (MM). The MM with a breather, will be illegal in all 50 States for street use, and as it vents the PCV to the atmosphere defeating some of the stock PCV's functions breaking a closed system, these type installations CAN give a deal grounds to void a warranty.
Want to see just how ineffective most catch cans are? Try the test and see for yourself. Anyone with another brand catch can can do this very simply, and after say 2,000 miles with the E2 or E2-X inline after the other can, simply swap so the Elite is first and your other can second, then all is fair and equal. Most will be shocked to see the results. Do it once, do it right, Elite Engineering has the solution for you vehicle no matter what the build or application. Let us know if you need more information. |

I have the Elite, and I love it! Got mine from JDP, price was perfect, fast shipping too. And their customer service is amazing.

alot of people using elite so let me ask this, on the E2 catch can is it better to have single or dual exit ports? also single exit or dual exit check valves? and should i add the clean-air oil separator?

ZL1 has a factory cleanside catchcan on it from the factory (all LSA engines) so no need to get the Elite Clean Side Separator (CSS) unless you want to improve on the factory one. The factory plastic one is a round canister located on the inner radius of the air bridge near the throttle body. To check it for oil, you have to remove it and turn it upside down. The dual valve E2 or E2-X for the most effective. The Ultra for hard driving big power builds. |

The exploded views from the online service manual do not show it, but look on the inside of the radius of the coupler that attaches the throttle body to the main intake air bridge. You will see a barb and tube that runs from the coupler to the canister, then it should split and run to each valve cover.
Still looking for some pictures |

Have the EE E2 and love it. Wasn't much of a believer in catch cans previously, but after seeing how much it was catching, I'll never not have one.

Bought my 2012 last month (from family member) and he had a Elite catch can with braided lines that had not been installed. I was going to install it but, worried about what I have read about main seal leaks and warranty problems( have extended warranty through 2019). I bounce back and forth.......getting dizzy
