barton install, different OEM shifter than most tutorials offer

hey team,

i recently picked up a barton short throw to hot swap out my original shifter.

to move this post along ill just skip to the end where after i dropped the dust boot on the bottom, instead of facing 2 10mm sockets on an O-ring as most camaros seem to have. I have instead 4 4.5 alan key screws in place. With that said, what kind of shifter is this, can i even install any aftermarket shifter, and can anyone clarify what i got.

side notes: i dont know any mods done by the previous owner, apologies for the pics being blurry.

P.S. if anyone can help me I had serious trouble with the dust boot on the bottom. i had to eventually duct tape it to the frame because i was going to get caught in a thunderstorm. here are pics of what i found
