New Camaro Day - We're in the Cool Club now!

Well it's here, my wife and I drove down to Chattanooga and picked up our new Camaro yesterday afternoon.

We traded in our 2007 Lexus IS350 which we really loved and enjoyed. I really hated to see the Lexus go.................But when we pulled in and the Camaro was sitting there we were both Blown Away!

I gotta tell you it is three times the car I expected and I'm loving it more and more each time I see it, sit in it, and drive it.

Teresa's dad is a Chevy dealer there and I think he was more excited we were getting it than we were. I finished work about 1:00pm and we hit the road from Knoxville and I think he had called her no less than three times wanting to know if we were on the road yet.

After we left the lot we stopped at a grocery store on the way to her parents house later to spend the evening before heading back and we were getting stares and thumbs up from everyone. These car's are just amazing in person, pictures just do not do them justice. It's hard to explain, but for me the lines of the car are just incredible, it looks so different depending on the angle you look at it from and a picture can't capture the depth of field you experience when looking at it in person.

Anyway here she is we haven't decided on the exact name yet but we're leaning towards "Rosie" as in "Whole lotta Rosie" or "Lucy". I'm liking Rosie right now, I'm a huge AC/DC fan, and Whole lotta Rosie is one of my all time favorite songs, so Rosie fits real good.

I've been reading on this forum for weeks now and soaking up all the information I can, this is a great site and forum.

So now I'd like to say Hello everyone and I'm happy to say we are finally members of the "Triple C" the "Camaro Cool Club".

Now it's time to go give her a bath and hit the road again. See ya....

Buddy

Congrats & great color choice. As you now know the pics pf the RJT don't do it justice. Seeing it in person is a whole different thing. I love my RJT and have had as many if not more compliments on the color as I have the car.

Congrats, I know what you mean about being an attention getter. My wife and I dined at Applebee's recently and when we came out there was at least 4-5 people taking 2nd and 3rd looks at our 2SS RJT. People give the thumbs up sign on the road as well.

CCC for Sure - Enjoy

I was at a Mongolian BBQ like two weeks ago and the car was parked by the window that we sat at, and me and my friend watched at least 2 families stop by and walk around it and look inside (don't forget it's only a 1LT/RS lol). Than the there were three guys at the table next to us staring at it and they had a whole conversation about my car so I decided to use the remote starter so the halo's came on and they started looking around it was kinda cool lol.

Another time at Buffalo Wild Wings we were sitting by the door and the car was parked right there, and AT LEAST 5 people/families stopped and looked. One lady looked inside and walked around the whole car. Another guy was walking out with his family and his wife had to call him because he just stopped dead in his tracks in front of it.

It's really cool to see the attention these things get from people of all ages/genders/nationalities. Who knew "just a car" could bring so many people together.

While I was waitng in the parking lot for my wife, I looked up and an older pickup with 3 guys was driving by, one guy was hanging out the window throwing the thumbs up and the driver and the other one were about to break their necks turning to look. They circled the lot and came back around to get a better look.

It's just amazing the attention this car gets!

Thanks for all the comments!!

Congrats, had mine for 3 months now and I'm lovin it!!!! It's great the looks you get, can't count the times my car has been photographed going down the highway. There is always someone looking at it in the parking lot when I come out of the store.

Hey everyone thanks for all the comments!

Gave her a bath and got the bugs off her nose and shined her up for traveling around town to do some shopping, joy riding, and showing her off.

We got a huge kick out of all the head turning and staring going on. It is just amazing the attention it gets.

Everything about the car is fantastic so far handling, ride (much better than I expected), POWER, fit, and finish. I'm having only one problem, I can't see sh*t when I'm backing up! Any suggestions are certainly welcome.

I've been running her hard to set the rings good and the power just keeps getting stronger and stronger.

Also one other thing, the car seems to kind of hesitate or run kind of rough when cruising at a constant speed, so I am assuming that's the AFM that I'm feeling because when I speed up and vary RPM's it get's better. Am I correct?
