Any downsides to a 20x8 20x10 setup

I currently have the v6 ls and am finally due for tires so now I can get rid of these terrible rims too

One of the wheel sets i'm looking at doesn't have a 20x9 so I would have to go 20x8 up front with 20x10 in the rear. Just wanted to see if this would be ok handling wise? Its an unmodded v6 and i do like 35k miles a year on it.

What size tires are you considering? The Camaro comes with understeer built in, so with a considerably wider tire in the rear you may experience even more understeer - that is, if you push the car hard enough to lose traction.

This is a 20X10 box setup with 275/40's all the way around.

On an 8" wheel I think the widest you'll get is 245, possibly 255 depending on the tire but even then it would be kinda "squished" and not ideal for handling, and you might be better off with 245 anyway.

A 10" wheel will conformable accept up to 295, but again would be kind of squished and you're probably better off with 285.

If you're looking for handling/cornering you'll want to consider having front tires close to or the same as the rears (width-wise), so with an 8" up front and 10" in the rear the factory setup of 245/275 may actually be best; this of course all depends on how you drive the car: if you're not pushing the car hard enough to lose grip up front you might want wider tires in the rear to give you that extra traction when accelerating.

If you're inclined to go with a square setup you could consider 10" all around like mentioned above, with 275 or 285 all around.
