Headed out for first time to drag track ???

I have a 11 camaro with LS3 M6 Dyno at 482HP 444TQ and have the Nitto 275-40-20 555G2 Tires my question is what air pressure should i start at and how low is still safe pressure to run

any other advice would be great
Thanks

22 and go down from there until you are happy with the grip.

If you have time, get to an alignment shop. Have them dial out as much negative rear camber as possible. 0.00 is great. Toe IN 0.12 per side.

Street tires or skinnies up front?

I do have a good pair of 245/45/20 Perrelli's I could put on the front but I didn't know about mixing tread and brand of tires It would save at least 12 lbs

Advice, just have fun. There are so many aspects to a great run with a M6. RT, wheel spin or hoop, 60', shifting. I would say start with launch rpm and 60', eventually, it will come together. Then you will want new wheels and tires and suspension upgrades.

Pete, these are the street tires, not drag radials. I don't think 22 would be a good starting point on these.

Where the 555G2's are a newer compound, I'd start at your normal running pressure and see what happens. If you do lower the tire pressure take chalk with you and put it across the tread pattern, if you do your burnout and don't take all the chalk off the tires, you let too much air out and your tires are cupping.

Hard to hook 482 rwhp, 3.91 gear, on street tires.

Mph is low. At the same power and gears I was trapping 115- 117. Maybe you need to shift at higher rpm like 7k. Shift fast don't let it nose dive
