Mod Week at Slowhawk Performance!

Well I have decided to move on from my issues after putting on the CAI brand cold air unit. This is the big week!

Tomorrow I am dropping off "Christine" at Don Kinder's Slowhawk Performance for some nice upgrades.
- ARH Headers
- High Flow Cats
- ECU tune with removal of 1st-4th skipshift
- Dyno test/tune new package

Pretty excited and can't wait to hear the car on startup when done.

Wish me luck! Will post updates on weekend.

Mods: ARH headers and hi flow cats, VMAX ported throttle body, CAI air intake, Slowhawk Performance tuning

Car is there as of 1:30pm today! Don is a great guy and the shop is just cool to visit.

Seems some idiot (ME) allowed a vacuum line from the oil catch can to get very loose and that was the culprit with my CAI brand cold air unit causing an error. This was NOT an issue with the VMAX and CAI brand product pair, but user error. I thought I went over everything and not sure how that happened, but it's resolved now. I will get the car this Saturday after all the mods have been done.

I have to see the final read out, but Don at Slowhawk emailed me that after the headers/hi-flo cats/engine tune (I have a CAI and VMAX TB, stock dual mode exhaust) I am at 413 rwhp.

It's been ultra hot here past few days of course, but I will take it. I am sure it's going to feel a ton better. Looking over the LS3 dyno thread I am right around (on low side) where these same mods come in.

Will have car Saturday.

Keep in mind that, if I'm not mistaken Don has a Mustang Dyno, numbers typically read lower.

I am not sure, most likely. I am not down on the #, I know this work was done right and is good to go. Psyched to drive it Saturday!

You been fishing? I was in Florida at Rodman Reservoir for some real monsters in March, and since just done Saltwater. I am a loser freshwater guy this year

Yeah tournament almost every weekend. Went to Champlain last weekend fishing was good not great, but I caught a 25 pound carp on 6 pound test fishing a tube under a bridge looking for smallmouth's. took 15 minutes to tire it out and land that pig.

If nothing goes wrong at work I may try sneak over and see you car and hear it. Don't wait for me as I never know whats going to happen at work but if I can I would love to see your car thats most the mods I would like to do to mine.

It depends on where you get your sticker (if you know someone), and or it has to be able to pass 50 state emissions test and cant through CEL. By the law book not very far from factory, in reality depends how picky the local authorities are and state authorities that see you are. I see plenty of Harley's that have no where near legal exhaust, Jeeps and trucks that are way over the lift height limits and bumper height limits, cars with after market exhaust and from sound cams and headers done super charges turbo's you name it. If you drive respectfully and dont be an asshat most time you are fine but if they want to ticket you the can. Also depends on both parties involved in a traffic stop, he might had a bad day or week and you are screwed anyways or if you are a jerk may not matter who stops you your getting your self a ticket with your attitude. Also depends on what car you drive, i drove a Porsche for 5 years with no front plate and never got a second look but first month in the Camaro got a verbal warning to put it on (so I did, with these cars don't need to leave any low hanging fruit for them). 1 out of maybe 20 corvettes around here have front plates yet they dont get bothered (old mans car is the stereotype so they dont bother them).
