********* Our 3rd Annual Cruise to the Pagoda in Reading PA *********

Are we ready to give it another try? Since we didn’t make it in June due to the road closure, the cruise has been rescheduled.

Once again we will have 2 meeting points.

This is basically the same plan that we did in the past. The idea is to cruise from Redner’s parking lot in Douglassville up to the Pagoda, (http://www.readingpagoda.com/) in Reading.

For the Audubon crew, we will meet at Starbucks as usual. Meets usually start sometime after 9 and continue until we leave for Douglassville. We need to leave around 10:30 so we can meet up with the Douglassville crew around 11.

For the Douglassville crew, please plan on arriving around 10. Park behind Michael’s Diner in Redner’s parking lot. It is much bigger. You may purchase coffee at either place. Redner’s Supermarket has restroom facilities.

Douglasville is about 22 miles NW of Audubon via 422 west.

To avoid traffic, we will come into Mt Penn from the back like we did in the past, but this time we will cruise up to the Pagoda using Duryea Drive.

Perhaps, visit Fire tower.

We can decide where we want to go to for lunch.

To get to Douglassville from Audubon:
via PA-662 / Old Swede Rd
About 22 miles

Head west on Egypt Rd toward Oaks,
2.2 mi
Take ramp right for US-422 West toward Pottstown
19.5 mi
Turn right onto PA-662 / Old Swede Rd
0.1 mi
Arrive at PA-662 / Old Swede Rd

These are all weather permitting. If the last Sunday is cancelled due to weather the meet gets pushed back one week. If it is again cancelled, it is then skipped for that month.
