Has this happened to any of you? My car arrived Monday but the dealer says i can not take it off the lot untill the MSO (Manufacturer's Statement of Origin) comes in. WHY IS THIS???? i am getting really impatient. Why wouldnt the MSO come with the car? And where does it get shipped from?

That sucks! :( Hang in there...I've not heard of having to wait for an MSO...

The MSO comes before the car does, either they are stalling for some other reason, or they have payment issues with their finance source and don't have the MSO for that reason.

How sure are you that the MSO comes before the car? What is the process of where it comes from and how it gets to the dealer?

Dont they have a tracking shipment status on these type of things where they can tell me where the package is at? if not, is there any way i can call camaro myself and find out about the MSO?

Some other details of my car....The cars Production date was last monday. I oredered it at the end of august. They keep telling me that the mso SHOULD be here 'tomorrow', and this has been going on since monday.

Hopefully this will answer your question, some states hold the MSO and the dealer has to apply for it. As quick as Camaros are showing up and the MSO's are 2 to 5 days afterward. they cant release the car because until the receive the MSO.

same thing happened to me this past Monday. HOWEVER, my bank (Chase) let the dealer use the invoice number....and I drove it home. PUSH your Bank.

Not always. My dealer is WI #1 Chevy dealer, with a large allocation. (they had 2 on the showroom floor when I picked mine up). My MSO was shipped after the car.

My Bank still let me take it home though. We just used the invoice number.

I think this happened to Trent. But his was the invoice. Are you sure you're not talking about the invioce?

No she keeps telling me its the 'MSO' that h asnt came yet. Whats all this talk about the bank letting the dealer use the invoice number and i can PUSH the bank?
I am paying outright for the car.

I am a PA dealer. The MSO and invoice is here prior to the car getting here. In PA even if the MSO was not here, the dealer can have you sign a power of attorney letting them sign the MSO for you, and then they send it to the state for title. If your car is on the lot they are able to deliver it to you paperwork wise right away.

YES Delayed a week. PQ- it was both.

Not necessarily Tom- although my (and others) circumstance of sitting in Pontiac for 8 weeks may have played an unusual role. I'm 100% sure it wasn't my dealer having financial issues- he's #4 behind Classic, Paddock, and Karl...
