Funny fact.
When we got some surplus Z/28 trans last month they have tags on them with a serial number on them, that number starts where the last VIN on the car ended.
To bad, think this is and was a good car, to bad more members did not see that, and to think we members here are luck to have this car, thank you for the Z/28, 3 weeks till we go back to the track, cant wait. |

The transmissions they received have the vins on them.
They are continuous from the last production Z/28 that rolled off the line. In other words these were ear marked for a chassis but GM cut the run short.

Makes you wonder if GM have a load of body-in-white chassis partly built up that they never finished too..?

I believe that he is saying that there were more transmissions ordered than car built.

Funny have not had a drink in 1 year (never had a taste for it or any other drug) and don't get what you have to say.
Here is a pic, and a radiator with the oil cooler and fans, off that same line. |

Back on topic, I agree it is too bad more people didn't get what the Z/28 is all about. Or even actually drive one and make their own judgement. Instead of watching a few videos that say the car is too hardcore for street use. This car is certainly not the most powerful car you can get, but as an overall package, there's nothing under $100,000 that does everything better. At least, not anything under $100,000 yet.
