I have been thinking about it since I bought my 1st muscle car )
But never managed to get it installed. Currently my goal is to get some extra rwhp when I need it (not for track but for street). I am not a "racer" but I like to drive my Camaro fast. I found this relatively inexpensive kit: http://www.jegs.com/i/Nitrous-Expres...21-05/10002/-1 that can add up to 150hp (not sure if it is really capable for 150). I am pretty sure that adding 150hp without supporting mods is kind of dumb, I would ruin my engine by doing so. With my current setup I guess I can safely add +50 +75hp with no risk to abuse the engine. While my engine is ls3 rebuilt with mild ls9 cam, headers , CAI & air scoop, ported TB and ported oil pump, I still have the stock injectors, stock fuel pump. My dream is to go with SC but I need to pay my car off before any major upgrade. For the time being I am not going to modify the fuel system. So am I safe to play with the baby-nitro kit or shall I avoid any kind of extreme power adders without fuel sys. mods? Just wanna know your opinions and some live experience if you could share it over here If this is something that being asked pls point me to the right direction. Thank you! |
