Weird change in AFR

So in the last week or so my AFR has been reading 10.0 at half throttle to full throttle. Nothing has changed with the car. Any insight would be greatly appreciate. I can't seem to figure out why the change and it kind of freaks me out. I was thinking maybe my AFR gauge needs to recalibrated or maybe the change in the seasons here in NY. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Boost leak, belt slip? Does it read fine all the other times? If so I would be looking for a mechanical change that would cause the car to run rich.

Yeah, normal driving it averages 14.7. How could I tell boost leak or belt slip? Sorry never dealt with this before.

Pressurize system and look for leaks. Check for belt dust, tensioner adjustment, or worn belt.

Also do a general inspection of all the hoses for cracks/etc. Check the bypass valve for sticking/etc. Has boost level changed? That would be a good indication.

Depending on brand, it may be necessary to recalibrate your AFR gauge. Not saying that's your problem, but If it's able to be calibrated, then I would do that for sure.

More importantly...is it driving any different ?

If it was really that rich at low loads, it would be driving luck **** all and stink like ****.

What wideband is it ? Does it just read that flat number...ie no changes depending on load/rpm ?

And honestly it's hard to tell if it's running like crap because it's like mind-effing me seeing 10.0. And yes, it read 10.0 on decent acceleration, if I rev it and if I'm wot.

Id think the car would run like shit and be stumbling all over itself at a true 10:1 afr part throttle, can you log mpg it would go to shit as well. Im betting its the afr gauge/sensor, glowshift lol

How old is the afr and how close is it to the engine? (I burned up my Inno MTX-L in less than 30 days). I relocated a new sensor 2 feet further down and bought that expensive @ss insulator for it and no issues since. Lots of good suggestions in other posts. I'd start with re-calibration. I don't think glowshift is all that bad - those bosch sensors are not very robust - there are lots of complaints against them throwing errors.

It's not running like shit. I'll do a mpg check as you suggest. Might shoot over to new era too and have them take a look. They are only 4miles from my house. Then I would know if my AFR gauge is just shit. Blame the future wife. She wanted the color change feature lol.

I really doubt gloshift is any worse than any of the other cheap gauges out there....regardless of brand name. Widebands are all cheap these days
