What is the normal operating temp for this A8

Im always curious when running this car when I can actually get on it. I have a relatively short drive to work and back so around the tail end of my trip I reach 130 and im like ehhhh still too cool to get on it.

Anyways, what temp are these things are suppose to run at?

Mine sits around that area on the streets and rarely budges. On the track it'll get warmer for me.

Mine on the track gets up to about 250 until I Pit it to cool off. on the street it rarely gets over 195. On the highway traveling, around 175-180.

170-180 in normal driving.

Spirited driving and or heavy traffic nets me about 190-203

On the autox track I've gotten up to 225-230. But that was in 97 degree heat and 144 degree track surface temp.

Planning to add the extra transcooler over the winter.

Mine runs just a little over the 100 mark. Seems like it's too cool. I've had some shudder issues at light throttle that I'm sure is going to be the torque converter but I wonder if the temp not being up enough is part of the issue.

I am around 120-130 when fully warmed up. The extra coolers really help. I'm guessing the cars without the coolers are the ones running in the upper 100s.

Mine barely gets over 100. Maybe 120 max. How are you guys getting to 195-200?

I thought they all had transmission coolers... Or was the trans coolers an option?

2SS here. Normal driving around town it stays around 125-135 depending on ambient temp and how long I drive the car. If I drive it hard I see the temps creep past 200 pretty quickly but it does cool down fast.

I believe the reason our trans temps are better is that the trans cooler is separate from the radiator this time.

My trans barely gets to 120. IDK how some of you guys are seeing 190+. Are you guys talking about coolant or oil temps and not trans temps?

Some of us dont have the heavy duty cooling packages that come on certain models ad the ss.

The additional coolers is whats keeps yours lower, also for those that dont track their car and or drove hard (not just a few highway sprints and street stuff) with the extra coolers it comes from the radiator and then goes through the aux trans cooler.
