I work for GM and only employee's are invited to these events. You can however sometimes be invited as a guest. My suggestion would be to contact the Camaro Launch Team at clt@gmlaunchhq.com. Good luck

Not sure what ride n drives you have been to, but the Corvette ride n drive at Phoenix International Raceway was awesome. Maybe your talking about the AVEO.

I have heard of the corvette one. I stay in touch with a couple guys at the local dealer. The principals son is a good friend. The ones I went to were for the Avelanche and Impala. I would guess the PIR one was actually worth going to.

I knew when we were asked to sign all kinds of waivers and then had to go thru a debriefing with professional drivers and then handed helmets that it was the real deal. Sorry you didn't get to experience it. 115 on a banked curve is something everybody should get to do.

Las Vegas is the location for the western region. Probably will include participants from CA as well. Try emailing the Camaro Launch Team at GM headquarters

I went to the COrvette one in Sebring, FL, and the Malibu one in WPB...I thought they were both a lot of fun. I spent most of my time on the track though...I can't wait for the Camaro RND

Not quite sure when the Camaro tour will be traveling to the east coast, but I'll keep you posted if I hear anything.

A few years back, I attended the "GM Auto Show in Motion" in Raleigh, NC where there were tons of GM cars and other non-GM cars that you could test drive on set up road courses, absolutely free, open to the general public. It was pretty sweet, I got to drive a Hummer H2 on a dirt course, a Cadillac CTS and SRX, a Pontiac GTO and most fun of all--a Corvette Z06 6-speed on road courses. The only one you had an instructor for was the Vette. It was an awesome time. It was like an amusement park where you could keep riding the same ride over and over again until you were wore out! I haven't seen any event like that since.

I used to attend those every year they came to Cleveland

They were here about three or 4 years in a row up untill about 2005. Then they quit the ASM nation wide tour and opened the Las Vegas only Ride 'n Drive which was a flop and GM closed it.

I've been in contact with Scott about this and he said there is strong support within the company to bring the nation wide ASM tour back, as well as great response from us who loved it

I was really disappointed when I heard they were discontinuing the tour. Now that the Camaro is back, GM just has to bring the ASM back. Get people in the drivers seat and compare the great new GM cars and trucks with the competition. It will help them sell, and I think Scott agreed with me
