Sudden temporary loss of P/S

Yesterday as I'm looking for a parking spot in a parking garage, i experienced a very sudden yet temporary loss of power steering. After parking i looked for any leaks and found none. I checked fluid level which was also fine. Fluid didn't look dirty but that's just what i could see I the on the dip stick and in the top of the reservoir. I did some quick research and learned it could either be a loose power steering belt or burnt out pump. Is this true?
Today again as I'm pulling out of said garage it briefly happened again. I tried to recreate the scenario in an empty parking lot and it didn't happen. I drove around for 30ish miles at various speeds and nothing happened, steering feel was fine.
Someone please help! I'll admit I'm not the most knowledgeable. Is it the pump, belt, or something else?

if the belts not squeaking it's probably not it. is the pump making any noise? did you also drop in RPM to almost stalling? that can do it.
