I'm pretty sure that with our 3 month trial, it is not available to listen to XM online.

Correct - XM On-line is not available with the 3 month Trial - you need to be a paying subscriber to have on-line access.

There is a 7-day Free Trial available - https://xmro-secure.xmradio.com/xstr...trial_form.jsp after which you need to be a paying subscriber. This also works with their iPhone app to listen to XM via an iPhone.

Also, there is a Sirius 7-day free trial as well - http://www.sirius.com/sirius/servlet...erRegistration

Even if you're a paying subscriber, you have to pay extra to listen online. Pretty lame if ya ask me.

That's for Premium XM (or Sirius) On-line - 128Kbps CD-quality Audio and required for iPhone access.

The basic XM (or Sirius) On-line is still FREE with a paid subscription.

That is ridiculous. I think if you have the XM installed you shouldn't have to pay squat to hear it. I have always thought this. THe only reason I paid the first year was because I hated the fact that I paid the 'extra' option to have XM. So I went ahead and paid it for a year. I won't be doing that again when I get my Camaro.

Besides, I have a radio right behind me in my office.

Maybe I'm blind but I don't see anything for "BASIC". All I see is the 2.99 pro.

From their FAQ...

Quote:
XM Radio Online
See XM Radio Online FAQs for all XM Radio Online questions.

Why have you changed the online listening product?

* The XM Radio Online listening platform has been upgraded to deliver a higher quality digital audio but is no longer provided free as a part of a base satellite subscription. Internet streaming has been upgraded to 128Kbps and is available for $2.99 when you add Premium XM Radio Online to your account. If you previously registered and listened to XM Radio Online as a free part of your subscription you can continue to listen at no cost until your next renewal dat

When will I be impacted by the changes to XM Radio Online?

* If you currently listen to XM Radio online as a part of your subscription, you will continue to have access to XM Radio Online at 32Kbps until your next renewal date. You can upgrade to Premium XM Radio Online ($2.99) for higher quality sound at 128k at any time by logging in to Listener Care.

Where can I get a printable version of the XM Channel Lineup?

* Please visit our channel lineup page. You'll find printable versions in HTML and PDF formats that you can print out on your home computer.

What happened to the 64Kbps audio stream that used to be available in XM Radio Online?

* All free internet subscribers whether previously streamed at 64kbps or 32kbps will now see internet streaming a single 32kpbs rate. We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused those streaming at the higher bit rate.

Sorry - try this link - https://xmro-secure.xmradio.com/xstr...subscriber.jsp

BASIC was a choice when I had XM - I let it expire - so unless they made it all PREMIUM you could still subscribe as a Basic user at no-charge.

Sirius still has Basic, Free on-line.
