Air intake?
I have a 2011 2ss camaro and wanted to know which air intakes would create the most power difference? I was looking at a K&N 63 series and was wondering how it was?

K+n is good, but I think Cold Air Intakes or Roto Fab might squeeze a couple more ponies out and does better against heat soak. I like my K and N.

read the stickies and make your own choice. There's a spreadsheet breaking down the differences between each air filter and whats more important is your personal perspective or choice. Over the radiator, in the box, cold air. Just remember C.A.I. is an actual brand also. Love Love Love both my C.A.I. and K&N, Just depends on the car
I drive a 2014 2SS RS with a CAI and a 2000 Dodge Durango 5.9L with a K&N After reading the dyno results and testing myself where I live the K&N platform out performs the CAI on the dodge platform and the CAI kills the K&N on the chevy platform at this altitude. Is it gonna be huge no...but, Deer and Elk hate the sound of my car. I get 23 mpg minimum and I love the way it looks. Read on and expect lots of personal opinions. FYI I work in Durango Co, 6512 feet and commute to vallecito Lake at 7882 Feet.

I have a Z28 intake and it made 18 hp more on the dyno after install on my 2ss. This is on my second 5th gen SS, and both dyno'ed about the same 18 hp after. I don't think you can beat it!!

Vararam makes the most RWHP in FBO applications, but requires a qualified tuner.
Roto-Fabs new design with scoop makes the second highest documented RWHP gains in FBO and highest in all other boosted applications. CAI with scoop is nearly identical with Roto-Fab, but less. None are CARB compliant, you will be forced to go with AirRaid or K&N if you live in that Country.

Look into the Roto-Fab and CAI intakes. They are our best sellers and for good reason. They make great power, look cool, sound great and maybe most importantly....fit great. A lot of research has gone into both of these systems and they are both upgradable if you decide to add a supercharger or a air scoop.
