Got a driveway but no garage, any ideas?
I will be driving this in winter and wont be storing it in a garage. I have a wide driveway and was wondering if anyone has any ideas on keeping this baby unharmed during snow days. covers, tents, etc????

I wouldn't worry about it getting snowed on, your biggest worry will be driving it 9n the snow.. thats where the danger is.. I would get a beater to drive in the snow...

Agreed...Look at it this way...$1000 for a Ford Aspire or comparable for November-April is an excellent investment....for now.
Seriously....once you drive the RWD Camaro in snow, you will hate it. I had the unfortunate displeasure to drive my 1998 T/A all last winter in Detroit. I think I shaved off 4 years from the tail end of my life. Do what you can to get a FWD winter car...Your Camaro and your sanity will thank you. I was in Pittsburg a few weeks ago and picked up a 62k mile, no rust 2003 Cavalier for $3500. I planned on using the car for 3-4 years.

If building a garage isn't an option and you don't have to worry about HOA regulations, just get something like this from ShelterLogic.
http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_1...e+%26+Shelters They also have an accessory kit that adds sides and a door. Just make sure you have it secured properly to the ground (no, that does not mean just tie some ropes to some concrete blocks) so it doesn't get blown away in a windstorm. I've got a 12x26 open sided canopy like the one in the picture and I've had it up for about 3 years now. No problems with it whatsoever. The only times I've ever removed the canopy was when we had hurricanes headed for the area. Other than those two times, I've had it up year round.

Not to be a dick...
But why would you want to protect a car from the snow (IE shelter) when in fact you are doing more harm and wear by driving it in the winter and subjecting the undercarraige to brine and/or salt? Makes no sense to me to spend $1000-1500 on "shelter" when you could buy a more safe a suitable mode of winter transportation. Then you will realize driving the Camaro in winter is stressful and plop down $1800 for winter tires. JHMO

Mine is not going to be garaged. I have an outdoor only cover from Weathershield. Check out the Weathershield HP custom fit. It's a great cover. I'll also run an outdoor electrical extension cord with a battery tender because it won't be driven until spring.

OK...
You have salt, sand, aggregate and brine on the roads...Even a little amount somewhere onthe paint is enough to cause damage with a car cover placed on car without a proper and thorough cleaning. I will not recommend a cover at all...not even if the car was driven and not thoroughly washed. No cover...I wouldn't even worry about a tent. Leave it out in the open.
