5th and 6th gear "Buzzing"? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Anyone else hear a vibrating "Buzz" under thier back seat when cruising 55-75 mph in 5th or 6th gear? It thought it was my phone on vibrate but then i realized I did'nt have my phone with me??? Could it be a servo operating on the trans or rear end?

Yes, I get that at about 65 in 6th. I thought it was a loose shield or something

I have the same issue. The dealer said he heard it too, but believes it's some kind of wierd resonance from the exhaust. At one point it got so loud, it sounded like a train whistle behind me. It seems to have mostly gone away after 4k.

You guys are not alone, I thought maybe it was tips rattling agaisnt my GFX, however I guess thats not the case. Also, after some..."hefty driving"...and some lost rubber...sometimes the car sounds like it has a fart can. Is that a noice you could be talking about also? Or did my car just have a nice lunch at the China Buffet?

It is the exhaust. I had the same thing coming from my right rear muffler. Dealer replaced the whole system and if worked great for 500 miles. Then I added ARH headers and X pipe with my factory mufflers. About 250 miles later the sound is back. They figure the "extra flow" blew out the weak spot in the muffler. Now I will have to buy a axle back.
