One more trip to the track on Saturday

Ok, this is my last chance this year to make some gains with cool weather coming up this weekend. Last two times out conditions have been less then perfect for sure. At the Holley fest the car wouldn't get out of its own way since it was 94 degrees and DA about 3500. October at Gateway was better with 82 degrees and DA about 2000 and finally broke into the 11's with really good mph. Well this week end looks favorable with highs in the upper 60's and DA will probably be below 1000. So, hoping for another tenth and probably won't see much higher mph then the 118.60 I ran at super chevy. I don't know how many runs I'll get since its the Adrl race. I might not even get to run 1/4, my class is running 1/8 mile and if that's the case I should break into the 7.60's since my best was 7.73 in the heat and high DA. Hope I'll get to make at least one 1/4 pass if they'll let me. We will find out Saturday and I'll post up this weekend hopefully with good news.

I have that on my radar, just don't think I'll get enough runs. I just looked at the forcast for Saturday, High 67, DA at 10am which is about the time I'll get my first time trial will be mid 50's, humidity 75 percent and DA -123. Highest DA all day will be 641. Can't wait.

Awesome. Good luck man. I hope the weather holds and you get to run it out the back end. If the clocks are on and the 1/8 feels good I would just run it out. It is better to ask for forgiveness than ask for permission.

My bomb isn't gonna happen. I'm not gonna make it as planned. Just decided to get maybe only one time trial and straight to eliminations just isn't worth a 170 mile drive there and 170 back. Plus 70 bucks to enter and fuel, its just not worth the trip for a few runs if that many. Spring is not that far off, well maybe five months unless our tracks decide to extend the year. Its hard for me to make it to test and tunes since they are during the week and this old man still has to work during the week. Oh well

I hear you and cant blame you. My track commute is 166 miles so I feel your pain. It took me months to FINALLY get to the dam racetrack this past Monday and its 200 bucks to get in on a private rental wich is the way to go for me as its endless runs at will.

Well I just found out that Gateway is having one more race next weekend, its gonna be a grudge race day for there last event. That means I'll be able to get lots more runs and a time slip that might show some gains I'm looking for. So now I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the weather holds for that weekend. The extended outlook is looking great

Man, I'm spoiled, Sacramento Raceway is 6 miles from my house. They are open every Saturday weather permitting, for TnT, during the winter.
