I'm not an expert, but those don't look like tuned headers.

Great! I can't wait to hear what you think. I noticed that you went with the MBRP exhaust....is that because you wanted a really loud one? I'm looking for something not so loud and with as little drone as possible. I'm watching that Solo Performance thread with great anticipation

Thanks Desmo for the video links. I've talked to PieNSky some today. I think I'll go with a different exhaust system than that one Still figuring out all my options at this point!

my opinion for the exhaust systems of the camaro v6 (i have an ss and my wife have a 370z)
-theres no power to be gained because its knoed already that the siemens ecu will adjust that no mather the situation you get no more then 304bhp...
-the system contrary to the 370z which runs on a y pipe that is 1,75inch is really good flowing h pipe 2,25 inch...doesnt get better then this for hi performance v6 unless supercharged or turboed.
-An axle back will help the look from the back
-give better sound
-save the same amount of weight as a full catback (around 22 pounds)
-save you money
-you keep the resonators (which are straight thru) for comfort

MRT from scrming sells a kit which is the best value at 450$

Installing headers without a tune is whortless at the moment

Yes, that's what is so discouraging for the V6 owners......still a lot of waiting ahead. I'm hoping LPE has some new information soon on the supercharger they are working on.

Installing anything without a tune is essentially worthless right now. But having it done for when a tune is available has its merit.

There's a pretty high end GM only tuner here in Arizona that retiredout of the GMPP group that is claiming to be able to tune it.

Once I tie everything up with my mortage (buying a house atm) I will have time to talk to him about pre dyno, let him work on it, post dyno results to prove he actually did do it or not.

He's came recommended from many different sources so we'll see.

I went with the MBRP because I enjoy deeper tones. It was really the best sounding from all my research I did.

It took a sunday morning to install and went flawlessly.

I got rid of a stang v8 when I got the v6 camaro. So the I am picky on the tone. The MBRP is honestly the closest sound to a stock v8.

I still cry inside a little when I remember my v8 3" pipes and flowmaster 40s

Abygale,
If your not looking a loud system then I don't think you want, the SPL loudmouth II or MRT system (Scrming's).
I just installed the MRT axel back system & I like it,..... but it is loud with some drone mainly from 2K to 3K rpm's.
I wanted a loud system.
Driving 50-70mph it's not loud untill you give it a lot of gas...(no,I will not use another term for that)..
Under 2k rpm's = not loud & no drone to speak of.
