ECU Reset on Camaro SS

I had heard that the ECU on the new Camaro SS was pre-programmed from the factory for 87 Octane. A very good mechanic told me that by either temporarily disabling/disconnecting the ecu or removing a couple (2) fuses to enable the ecu to reset to 91 octane significantly improves the performance for the V8. Has anyone heard about this? If so, what numbered fuses are pulled?

yes, at the upper right of your post under "search this thread". type in what you are wanting to know about to see if it's been discussed, which this topic has.

This is also predominantly an L99 issue, not LS3.

I noted that you installed the Magnaflow 3" stainless steel cat back exhaust system. How do you like the system? Did you feel any performance increase? What is your impressions on the sound insofar as both interior cabin quality and exterior tune?

It seems to benefit the LS3 too by the way...
