Hi Guys
Been lurking for quite awhile and find this site quite imformative I purchased a brand new 2SS in 2011 and have pretty much done absolutely nothing to it except maintenance. Well on the bequest of my kids and and a newfound interest in my car I will let the modding begin will first start with a cat back then proceed to cosmetics (while I contemplate the route for power) Away from home for a few weeks due to work, but will start uploading pics as I progress as well as an honest review of some of the parts I receive, the ordering has begun Just wanted to start this thread to go from lurker to contributor regards Ron ![]() |

Can't wait to see the progress, I bought a 2011 2SS about a month or so ago, I'm still looking for the exhaust that suits my fancy. I wish I could stick them all on the car and hear them in person to see which one I want.

Finally started
Ordered and received a few parts
Started working with Side scoops. $75.00 from ebay - Pretty good quality, had lots of flashing to sand off and a little spot putty work to do. About 45 minutes prep wirk per side. Fits good. Will be color. Atched summit white Z28 rear spoiler look a like. 150.00 from ebay - Excellent fit, made of fiberglass, edges were chipped and also required some spot putty work, came primed GM HEAT EXTRACTOR. Local GM dealer 150.00 - Excellent quality. No prep work required other than sand and prime due to my choice to paint Last edited by 2fast4-u; 12-23-2016 at 06:27 PM. |

Well got the iPhone to orient the pictures, took rotating the pic a minimum of a couple degrees and then re saving photo
next is to try and scale the pics down a bit as the size is too large |

on a side note, still have quite a bit of painting to do when I get home again from work
side scoops = summit white ZL1 rockers = summit white / carbon flash black ZL1 diffuser = carbon flash black ( will be making this a hybrid as I prefer the 5" round tip as opposed to the zl1 quad tip set ups front lip = carbon flash black OH and before leaving for work, went to the local GM dealer and ordered a brand new LSA supercharger and a pile of support parts, they were very good on price and matched the best online prices I could find Was 95% of the way buying a edelbrock 1598 supercharger kit from RDP store and was very happy to do so after talking to Steve, but in the last moments before purchasing too many things were going against me 1 Low Canadian dollar 2 edelbrock required me to solicit a broker before shipping 3 timeframe was slipping away for the 500.00 dollar rebate all that being said it is much harder upgrading a car in Canada I believe than in the USA (COSTWISE) Personal thanks to Steve for doing all the legwork that I really appreciated will keep updating this thread as the body and engine mods continue |
