2014 camaro SS brake question

When my engine is running and in park. If I press my brake I hear a clicking sound near my shifter (automatic). I don't remember hearing that before. If it's in drive, I don't hear it. If my engine is off, I don't hear it. Is this normal?

With many automatics the shifter will not move without the brake applied. It may have something to do with the mechanism that locks the shifter in park and disengages when the brakes are applied?

Yea that's what I was thinking too. Some people say it's normal.

Never heard one quite that loud. Also in the video are you constantly applying the brakes or pumping the pedal? Just because it is clicking multiple times rather than once.

You're still under warranty correct? I would take it in and have it looked at and hopefully it gets fixed.

Just took it in today. They are ordering a whole new shift assembly. They said it's all one unit. I should have it installed next week under warranty.

My dealership finally replaced the shifter assembly. I have no more clicking. If anyone is out of warranty and needs to fix theirs. This is the part :

The noise came back after about a month. I took it back and they insulated the solenoid. So, now I can barely hear it.
