Advice wanted: Diff upgrade V6 A6 to SS LSD

Hello, I have been researching how to get rid of the open diff that came in my 2011 V6 and I am wondering what is the best set up that is also very cost effective. The problem is I only have one car and I live overseas so what every I do I have to be absolutely sure that everything will work together otherwise I won't have any transportation and getting parts here is expensive!

I will be traveling to California and Nevada this December. I plan to pick up the parts and either ship them back or put the pieces in with my luggage, and I want to know for sure what parts I require and what will or won't work together. Also if anyone in that area has parts I need I would prefer to buy from a friend on this forum than some random scrapyard.

Here is my research so far and prices from GM parts direct website:

Hubs - 22924741 (x2) ($)191
or: Hub And Bearing 13580684 (x2) ($171)
(What is the difference between these two parts?)

LH Axle – 22813176 ($169)
RH Axle – 22813175 ($169)

Hub nuts 13217120 (x2)
2 new axle washers (thrust washers) (20825083)
Axle Nut - 11611234 (x2)

What about the driveshaft? I can't find an answer to what the part number is and what will work with my V6 pieces. Does anyone know the approximate weight of the individual parts too?

I have been interested in this as well. Of course in the states, it is easier to go to a junk yard and buy the complete rear end I suspect. Still a good question on the drive shaft. I understand the pinion flange is smaller on the A6. Maybe that is it for the driveshaft difference and can be swapped?

an v8 auto drive shaft will be needed. You will use only the back half, it will slide right on the front half from your v6. v8 drive shaft coupling bolts and rubber coupling since they are different size. Depending on what bolts you take out for the hubs, some new hardware will be needed.
