Thanks for sharing! Here are a few in this order ... Texas ranch land, with a 1969 Z/28, with gen 6 Z06 and heavily modded CTS V (they asked to take a pic with the Z...) and best of all... a future enthusiast (8 yr old grandson).

I worked at Lockheed when they developed the SR-71. We had to sign a 20 year NDA so I wasn't able to talk about it at the time.

They would build the complete plane and test it on the ground.

Then they broke it down and shipped the pieces under tarps on staggered semis to ship. It would take up to a month for all the pieces to go out. They didn't want any convoys and the trucks would take various routes.

Then they would put them back together, test again, and fly.

I also worked at Northrup were the guidance system was developed.

Wow, love the pic of the two black Z/28s - one old school, one new... I like the stripes ! What color are those ? Are you adding them to your new Z/28? I am thinking about adding some vinyl strips to my black Z/28 and that color seems perfect !

Thanks. That '69 is very cool and it sounds really sweet. Haven't thought about adding stripes as I prefer the solid black.

It works in the snow. I bought it so I would have a fun car to drive during the winter months LOL.

I liked the black RS, I just got a race red '13 ST as a DD. Christmas was a Cobb tuner....so Ford Racing spark plugs (cooler spark) + a cobb stage 1 w/93 octane tune= 275 hp 350 ft-lb torque! it weighs 90 lbs more than my Z06...so that 4 banger really pulls hard from the dig. Easy to mod larger turbo plus larger intercooler plus proper tune = 465rwhp with torque in the high 4XX ft-lbs...hot! A friend who does dyno tunes already has his RS at 400HP 425ft-lb..he's a turbo guy his racing EVO is at 1000HP....out of a 4 banger!

Ford has 5 years on Chevy in their smaller cars w/turbocharging. The ST is a hoot, I'm betting that RS is too; especially w/4 wheel drive. My F150 with a 3.5 ecoboost is no slouch either.

BTW I thought our red hot Z/28's were to the orange until I put the race red ST next to it, it was like wow the ST is to the orange, suddenly the red hot Z/28 color just looked very red.
