Generation Yuck
Which generation Camaro do you like the least? I have never liked the 4th gens at all. They are the reason the Camaro disappeared for awhile in my opinion. What were the people that designed that nag thinking? Thoughts? Comments?

We had two fourth gens ('93 Z/28 and '01 WS6) and really enjoyed both cars. Have the current '13 1LE and have had a '69 since 1985, so I like 1st, 4th and 5th, with the 1LE being my favorite. Was never a big fan of second gen Camaros, so I guess they would be my least favorite.
On a side note, there was a lot that went into the demise of the Camaro (and Mustang for that matter). Don;t be so hard on the 4th gen cars! |

believe it or not the 2016s.not so much the weight loss,or styling although i do feel like im sitting lower in them, makes it hard for an old guy with back issues to get in and out.also the fact that the turbo 4 is the base motor and the 6 cylinder is a $1500 option.i sold my old pontiac solstice for that reason...was getting tired of pushing up to get out.4th gen.styling was ok in my book, kind of an attempt to make the car look more exotic.for their time the 4th gen.camaro and firebird were pretty daring cars.IMO theres a lot of 2nd gen.styling going on in the 5th gen.but with wider haunches and more aggressive front end.

All of them have a unique beauty to them... but my least fav would also probably be the 2nd Gen. I owned 2 4th gens and a 5th gen, with my uncle owning a 3rd gen I was a part of back in the 80's, before he traded it for a badass transam.
Still tho... dem 2nd gens ain't nothing to sneeze at! This one on my Camaro Calendar; |

Agreed 100%. The 1st Gen only ran for three years, then BAM...the 2nd Gen shows up and they ran it for 11 years. IMHO, the 2nd Gen just could never hold a candle to a '67-'69. As for the 4th Gen car it was during a period where "futuristic" was the rave. Being that the car was modeled after the Pontiac Banshee IV concept, futuristic was just the way to go. But yes, the '93-'02 cars had their demons too. High price (vs. a comparative Mustang), cheaply made, rattled around like a buckboard wagon, etc., etc.. Hey, it's all subjective.

I love my 5th gen but from time to time, I google images of clean 3rd gen Camaros. There is just something about the look that I think was way ahead of its time.

harsh on the 2nd gens. I have had 5 or 6 of them love them. 71 to 73 is probably my favorite. My least favorite is the 4th gen.

Popping my cherry here, Long time lurker first time poster. I loved the first gen had a 68 RS/SS back in the 80's which got stolen. I loved that car and the styling. When I saw the 5th gen I had to have one due to the similarities to the first gen.
I have never cared for the 4th gen Camaros, but I loved the 4th gen T/A, its something about the headlights they just look odd to me. the recessed headlights like the 3rd gen just look off and the refresh 4th gen with the bug eye headlights yuck. |

I'd have to say the 4th is My least favorite with the 3rd being a close runner up. I really liked the 1st and 2nd but of course my 5th is My favorite.
