I NEED YOUR HELP!!! Front License bracket issue - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

OK everybody, here's my situation...sold a Camaro to a guy in CA and i'm in Ohio. When the car arrived it had no front plate bracket on it; it got put on during the PDI process (which is standard and mandatory in OH). The customer did not tell me to keep it off until after it was already installed. So now he's upset that it's there. Holes are drille dthru the bumper to attach it on. I feel horrible about this whole thing and would really like to fix it without swapping front ends (which my service dept has already firmly stated cannot happen). Does anybody have any suggestions on how to fill the holes without completely ruining the front of the car? I guess that the front plate is required in CA also, but they're a lot more lax on it not being there. I would really appreciate any help from forum members on this. Thanks!

Have body shop fill holes and repaint facia or replace front facia, no other way that I know of. Hundreds of dollars either way.
I know I would be pissed if my brand new car had to be repainted through no fault of my own.

Terry,

As unfortunate it is that your customer is not happy, I would just clearly explain to them that you are required as per your PDI to install the front license plate bracket when the car is sold in a state that it is mandatory. They cannot really hold you accountable ethically or financially for doing something that is technically legally required.
