Car won't start

Hey guys asking for my buddy again. He has a 2013 1le with the agp TT kit. Anyways his car was running fine up until he stopped at a red light, put the clutch in and it died. Had it towed. Next day tried to crank it again and it did but idled real rough then would die once it heated up a bit. DTC code read c2711 on the aeroforce gauges. We thought it might've been the n2mb 2step/wot box. Checked all the wires and reprogrammed it. Still same issue. He also changed the crank position sensor and cam position sensor. And now it won't start at all. Now the codes P0335 and p0336 are showing after he changed them. Could it be the timing chain? Running out of ideas.

Possibly a burnt harness. When they originally installed the kit on my car, the tech didn't have the common sense to relocate one of the harnesses. As a result it was burnt. causing crank signal issues. Hell, we thought the reclutor wheel was loose.

Did you do a crank sensor relearn?

He hasn't done that yet. But isn't the car suppose to crank in order to do the relearn procedure? Checked all the wiring, turned out good

You may also have to do a theft deterrent system relearn as well, this could be preventing the car from starting

Crankshaft Variation (CASE Learn), Engine Idle speed, Theft Deterrent password, and Transmission adaptive shift points. Body Control Computer &/or Instrument Cluster replacement Theft deterrent password relearn is necessary. Engine, crankshaft, harmonic balancer, and crankshaft position sensor. If any of the above items are replaced, then a Crankshaft Variation relearn is necessary.

RELEARN PROCEDURES

IMPORTANT: Please note that the Theft Deterrent Password Relearn must be performed first, otherwise the vehicle may not start.

check your grounds! i had a good time looking around and found out that one of my grounds from the passenger side head was NOT making full contact! i may have bumped into it doing something. A quick look over and a wiggle to ensure contact and it started right up first turn over.

I will second the grounds. I had one of the nuts holding on the motor to chassis ground work loose, car wouldn't crank or anything. Tightened it up and all was well.

Man, big boy mods are not for rank amateurs, it appears. (no dig at the OP) If the money outlay doesn't spook you, the potential high tech problems will! Hope you get it figured out.

Stuff like this happens all the time, across professional shops all over the US. They just don't start a thread about it. They call a buddy, or someone else that may know the answer. For them starting a thread would make them look bad, and loose business.

And the 1000+ people going around with no issues aren't posting about it either.

And shit like this happens to bone stock cars.
