Royal Purple's “The Forum Wars” is giving real members of real online car communities the opportunity to go head to head with rival counterparts in the ultimate racing challenge. Each video battle will be broadcast on SPEED and all over the web.

The producers are accepting applications from 2010 Camaro SS owners RIGHT NOW!

This is YOUR chance to represent your badge, your community and your peers.

Forum vs Forum. Camaro SS vs Challenger SRT-8. Owner vs. Owner.

Official drag race. Slalom. Solo hot laps on a road race course. Three events. One winner.

If you have the car, experience on the track, and the eggs to bring it in front of a huge TV/Web audience then Royal Purple WANTS YOU!

If you….

- Own a 2010 Camaro SS (street legal, DOT approved tires, current registration and insurance)

- Have track experience

- Live in L.A or surrounding counties – or willing to drive

- Come fully trash talk equipped and ready to be on camera

- Are available 11/13/09 for the whole day

Hey 1320junkie. No money prizes, but huge bragging rights, an awesome day at the track with some great cars, and the chance to represent your community and show off your driving skills in front of a broadcast audience. Royal Purple will also be on hand with some good stuff for all competitors.

This is an opportunity for one forum member to come out in his/her 2010 Camaro SS and go head to head with a Dodge Challenger SRT-8 in a series of battles.

The entire day will play host to 10 match-ups, some of which include . . .

Viper ACR vs Corvette ZR1
Nissan GT-R vs Porsche 997 TT
BMW M5 vs Mercedes Benz E63
Mitsubishi EVO X vs Subaru STi
67-69 Camaro vs 66 Mustang
Audi RS4 vs BMW M3

It's run what you brung. Owner drives. You don't need to be an expert driver, but some track experience is expected. One set of tires. A full tank of gas. No track-side tuning. We're looking for a stock vehicle, but encourage all submissions, even if you have mods. We will only be running fairly matched vehicles, but we aren't ruling out equally modded vehicles.

The shoot will be taking place 11/13/09 at Irwindale Speedway.

The show will be airing in early in the new year. Each episode will be broadcast across the web and a shortened version of each episode will air on SPEED Channel, leading TV viewers to watch the whole episode online. A huge marketing push is accompanying the show and it's crucial that the results of the match-ups aren't made public in advance. For this reason we, unfortunately, have to keep this a private and controlled event. All competitors and crew will be subject to non-disclosure agreements.

Opening it up to spectators would inevitably lead to the outcomes of match ups being leaked and trying to account for potentially hundreds of members of the public with non-disclosure agreements isn't feasible.

Again, we would love to be able to open this up to the public, but in the interests of creating the most appealing show we can and maintaining some element of suspense it's not possible.

Do the Forums have any say so who represents them. I would hate for you all to pick someone slow from Camaro5 and they go out and make us look bad

Man I would have to get some money put on the table to tow/drive to L.A. to race with the wick fully lit. I nominate OrangeChevyII he is more than halfway closer than I am and is running very well
