Seats

What light weight seats are good for some daily driving but lean more toward a drag set up?

not sure how big you are, but sparco evo series has good options. For adjustable seats status spa seats look nice. I understand they are both FIA approved for racing, this should be a important factor if racing is in our future.

Those Kirkeys are what I was looking at. How did you mount them? Did you make or buy a bracket? How is it without the seat attached to a rollbar/cage?

I haven't had any issues with them not being attached to a rollbar.
I made a bracket out of angle iron I'll see if i have any pics.
I used the kirkey seat brackets it sits lower than before but I like it that way.

This was before I cleaned them up i have a 15 so I didn't have a bolt in the front it was a piece that slid into a slot in the floor. I just mimicked that piece off of the factory seat. I also bought a hex volt for the back because we couldn't get the torx bit between the seat and the floor.
I will try to get some more pics soon

Thanks a lot for the reply. I havent seen any info on what people are doing to put these in are cars besides the pic you posted.

So with that picture of the angle iron you posted do those bolts go into the floor where the original seat bolts are? Is this shown without the holes drilled into the angle iron for the Kirkey seat bracket? Just trying to get a better idea of what I need to do.

Thats great it loweres the seat some. I'm 6ft and my car has a sunroof so I dont have enough headroom for a helmet without touching.
