Nitto INVO: What does everyone know about them?

To get right into it, here is my dilemma.

I'm searching for a good all season tire, but I'm not really happy with my lack of choices. Now I know INVOs are not considered all season, but when I contacted the Nitto rep he was a bit obscure as to why. I don't plan on driving the car in the snow, but I would like to in just cold weather.

Now, I've read alot of the threads in which the INVOs are mentioned on this forum. Seems there are conflicting arguements as to what they are capable of. So I thought this deserved its own thread.

The main questions I have are:

1. Are Invos like the OEM Pirellis in a sense that they shouldn't be driven past a certain temperature? And if so, what is it?

I've heard you get pretty extreme wear on the Pirellis past a certain point. I tend to beleive it too. I got caught out in Warren Ohio the night of my cousins fight when it went into the 30's. I had no choice but to drive home to Pittsburgh. The tires showed it too. It essentially looked like I had been smoking the tires off, which I haven't even once since I got the thing.

2. How much life can you get out an INVO?

Those are my two biggest questions, but any and all input is welcomed. Thanks in advance for any answers.

Okay, anyone use any Toyo Proxes4 yet? If so, thoughts?

Not sure how to answer your questions but we have them on my Vette and they are great. No issues from 30 degrees to 100 degrees. Any performance tire Z rated IMO will be good in cold weather because the rubber becomes harder.

Thanks for the input.

I'm assuming you mean the Invos?
Have you noticed if they wear more in the colder weather as opposed to the summer? How much life have you gotten out of them so far if you don't mind me asking?

I meant not good in cold weather since they get hard...LOL Sorry..

Yes, Invos.

Tire wear is subject to how the person drives. Nittos last lower than most performance tires and I have had a lot..Mich also last a while. They will wear more in warmer weather since it compound is softer.

Hehe, no problem at all. I figured that was what you meant
Thanks again. I'll be seeing you sometime next year too. The money in my pocket declared jihad on some of your products.

Now, what does anyone know about the Toyo Proxes4?

I've never driven in snow. I have a few sets of Invos on various cars, I love these tires. They work decent in rain too. I've never put enough miles on a car to wear down a set, I usually sell them or the car before that has happened, haha. I had one set with 6K miles and a few roadcourse visits and they still had plenty of tread left.
