Lowering Recaro Seats
Hey guys, I have a Sunroof on my 2015 1LE, and I have a hard time sitting up completely straight . I have tried searching , is their any place that makes seat rails to lower the seats about an inch ? Thanks

I cant help with your question but i am curious; did your car come with them or were they put in after? Are they manual or power? I heard the manual ones sit up a little bit higher than the power ones.
Wanna sell them? Nathan |

Nope, don't want to sell them. It's not a deal breaker , just the extra inch would be nice. They came with the car, and are power

You might get some help on the Z28 side since the Recaro is installed at the factory on all Z28s. The track drivers wear helmets so might have some ideas for extra clearance.
Maybe the Recaro company has a thinner foam lower seat cushion that you could swap in under the leather seat cover on driver's side? Ron

The manual seats in a Z28 are lower so you may want to get the hardware from those. You'd just lose the electric adjustment functions. Otherwise it's custom work you're looking at. Don't let some hack welder build them, the frame is integral to the seats ability to absorb energy in a crash. Reuse the OEM bolts.

I have a manual Z/28 Recaro drivers seat and even adjusted lower it sits higher than the power version in the car. X25 had a manual Z/28 Drivers seat and switched to the power Recaro version as it was able to drop about 1" lower. You can search his build thread or name for more details. -Matt
