Tinted Windows Tickets and Insurance

Hey guys, does getting a tinted window ticket affect insurance or add points to the driving record?
I just got a warning and took it off, but I plan on putting it back on again. I live in VA.

different states have different laws but in ny its not a moving violation so it does not get reported to insurance.

In TN a ticket for window tint does not count against your license and is not cataloged for insurance reporting...If you only got a warning why did you remove it???A warning would go on your history, but has no affect what so ever, it would only have an affect if you were stopped for the same violation and pissed the LEO off to write you a hard citation, which still would have had no affect...

Shouldn't it's not considered a moving violation

I've never seen a return with warnings listed, regardless of the driver's home state. There may be exceptions, but as a rule written warnings are just for the issuing department.

As others have stated, equipment violations won't typically have any points attached.

I removed it because the school cop gave me 30 days to remove the tint and he sees my car everyday. Im guessing this is the only cop that pulled me over because he sees my car everyday. But once I leave I plan on putting 20 percent back on.

On school property? Is private property or road. I don't know how that ticket would ever hold up

so at my High School there is cop who has an office there and is always in the school. He is always driving around before and after school around the school area. No other cop has ever bothered to pull me over, which is why im planning on putting it back on. What do you think? (20 percent btw)

I guess it can be considered school property. The road is Left of the school. And it was a warning not a ticket. The cop gave me 30 days to remove it so I did.

Tickets from school security don't go to court like normal tickets and have no legal standing. They are mostly a money maker for schools but they can have lastly effects like stop you from graduating and in some states goes on your school record. Depending on the type of ticket and number, can make you look like a trouble maker and prevent you from getting into some colleges.
