XM Radio $

I didn't subscribe to XM when my trial ran out but I do miss it. I've heard they throw some deals out there to get you to sign up. Any of you have any luck getting a discount?

Call them and ask if you can get the $70 deal for 1 year. I heard about it here, and did it, and it worked like a charm.......except that after taxes and a music license fee, it was $99. Still less than the 140 or 150.

I got the $77 a year deal...I let mine run out and hated not having it.

Mine came to what NEO said.

If you wait, you will get an XM "Miss You" postcard. You can call up and say "My dealer said I could call and get the $77 XM deal". Believe me, they would rather get $77 plus royalties than $0.

If you get a hassle, hang up and call again.

Last year I called them and cancelled the "auto-renew" on my Corvette- then they send you to the person who is supposed to handle the cancellation and they offer you the better deal to renew. Don't know if that holds true now, but definitely try it!!!

FatWallet has some threads about getting XM at a lower rate. Here are some coupon codes: http://www.fatwallet.com/forums/deal-discussion/563680/

I've been told if you call up to renew and say "It's too expensive" then they try and offer you the $77 deal to win you back.

I haven't been that impressed with the xm service. I like some of the stations, but sometimes it would just cut out while driving out in the open. I am not talking about driving under bridges and some other other over head obstructions, it would just go out and come back. Anybody else have less than great reception?

They have a lifetime subscription for about $550.00 when all said and done. I chose this since I'm keeping my car for a long time. Pays for itself in 28 months over the monthly subscription. Includes XM everything plus Best of Sirius.

Thanks for the info guys. I let my subscription end because my car will be put away for the winter. After reading this thread I thought what the heck for $77 I'll renew it. I now have XM for a year and when that expires I'll try it again.

Yeah, my trial is about to expire. I called the xm number, asked the rep I got if they still have the ZWINBACK offer, she said yes. $77+royalty fees, totalling about $88 for 1 year.
She came back after putting me on hold for my credit card info, and said it was actually only about $81 and change...
Really easy. I just have to remember to cancel it next year before, because it will auto-renew for a year at the normal price when this promotional year expires.

I wasn't impressed with it. So I let it expire. I, no lie, get atleast 2 calls a day from them. Talk about annoying. You'll get tons of offers if you let it go a while lol
