Deer got me, any idea how much for a new fender? *pic* - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

A deer plowed into the side of me on the way home tonight:

Any idea how much to put a new fender on? Can you buy new fenders already painted? If so, are they easy to replace out in the driveway? Door doesn't seem to have any damage except it wont open and hits the part of the fender where the fender is dented so I either have to climb in and out of the passenger side or scratch the edge of the door jamming it open into the dented fender.

Crazy part is the deer was pregnant and on impact the baby shot out! (have pics!)

Yikes, the fenders probably don't come painted and a body shop will respray part of the door to blend. Hopefully it's just the fender, I'm thinking fasteners for rocker strip and door hinges.

I'm still on the birth of the dear by blunt force. Must have been stuck in there good. Or the mother really wanted it out.

In Ct it's the law that you must report deer impacts. If you did, this damage may fall under your comprehensive, not collision coverage, and often the deductible is waived (State regulations vary).
Check your policy or call your insurance company. You definitely need a new fender and emblems.
Also, a good shop can refinish summit white without blending any other panels.

Crazy... But does anyone know if the fenders come painted or do they have to be painted? I remember when I got the factory splash guards for my last Camaro they came painted and you had to select the color when ordering. Also, how do you take the fender off? I couldn't see anything with the hood open...

Yea I called my insurance right away, they said it would be a $500 deductible and no police report required.

Fenders don't come painted.....you look like you may have escaped any door damage.I think. Just make sure you get a GM certified replacement panel.
