Cx racing coil overs making noise

It only happens at very slow speeds loke 10mph and lower but it sounds as if something is loose. I checked all the bolts and with the car jacked up the spring is not loose when you shake it. Im so confused. Any help would be great! The coilovers are made by cx racing.
Thanks guys

I found too soft on the settings makes coilovers sound "clunky" What are your settings (assume they are 32 step).

i tried the hardest setting and it still making noise. i think it might be the preload? how hard should i have turned the the ring to set the preload? should it be extremely hard to tighten?

Different manufacturers set preload differently. My BC's called for approximately 5mm after the spring was tightened by hand. I'm not familiar with your CO's, but would think 5mm would get you in the ball park. Take the weight off the coil over before you try to make an adjustment.

How many miles do you have on the set? Could you possibly have a bad shock
on one of the corners?

Front or rear noise? Do they have the rubber coil insulators at the top coils? See any scoring marks on the coils? Top nut real tight on the strut rod?? Sway bar links tight? Didn't miss any retaining washers?

The noise is at all 4 corners. This makes me believe that there was something i missed that needed to be transferred over from the old setup. The bolts at the top of the struts are tight as shit! Every bolt is tight nothing appears to be loose. Even when i jack the car up and remove the wheels and pull and shake on everything nothing appears to be loose even the slightest bit.
Its been like this for about 1k miles now.

Coil overs can be a little noisy in general, and the CX's seem to be in the lower end of the price range at what looks to be around $700. That being said, honestly have no clue about their quality and not knocking them just cause they seem to be a bargain compared to Megans, BC, Penske, DSE, etc.
So - what mods are on your Ride? Did the noise only become apparent after installation? Did you set the preload @ hand tight + 5mm off the car before installation, or unload the suspension and check the preload? When the car is unloaded, can you rotate the spring coils? Are you SURE all required hardware was installed from the old struts? Did you drill a clearance hole in your trunk sufficient to clear the rear adjuster extensions (the top of the strut coupling WILL hit the floor pan). The more info about your ride the better.

Not sure on the Fronts, as I use Moreno Camber Plates on mine, but I would guess from the diagram maybe #8 if not included with the CX's, and everything on the far left (11-16).

For the rears, # 5 if not included, and 8-15. Forgetting to install #10 or 15 will pull #13 Insulator right out of the mounting plate and make a racket.

How good are the installation instructions? Any pics of your installation?
