He can get the polished wheels. He does know that they are the same wheels just different finish.

I'd be willing to bet he could work something out with the dealer if he didn't want to pay an extra $470 for the polished. Since the midnight is an upgrade whey might swap them with a non RS car. Doesn't hurt to ask.

I just ordered mine with the SS wheels, yep, it's about $450 more when you order it.

Don't be fooled by chevy.com pics of midnight silver. They are not that dark at all. These wheels are midnight silver. You can really get them to shine and on the right color they look much better than polished or the silver painted stock ss wheels. Before you make a $470 mistake, check out midnight silver in person. it is awsome looking!

EDIT... now that I noticed you have your car, maybe you know that. What wheels do you have? Midnight silver?

Have them on my Black 2 SS and they look great, they go well with the silver stripes.

The only way to see the difference is to put them side by side.

Guess what........ then the only way to see the difference is to wash them Like I did and then you notice the MS are painted black on the inner rim behind the spokes while the polished are left natural with no clear coat.

The MS DO NOT SHOW INNER WHEEL DIRT WHILE THE POLISHED DO.

BTW ..... "the SS wheel " is the base Sterling silver. Q9K also painted.

Can someone post a pic of a close up shot of the midnight silver wheel, or better yet a side by side of each of them? Every SS camaro I've seen at the dealership has the polished wheels on it. I guess they make more money by loading up the cars with all the options.

GM needs to fix their misleading website showing the midnight chrome as black.

IMO. Polished look better. They need to be compared in the sun

I got the polished upgrade, wasn't very satisfied actually. I was expecting them to look like high polished aluminum, but they have a dull look to them with a clear coat. I will be getting custom rims, could have saved $500 by getting standard SS rims, probably look just as good as polished.
