Talking Will new 2016 front bumper fit 2012 Camaro ?

Hi guys ... my raid is Camaro 2012 V6
and my car looks good except the bumper
so I'm thinking about replacing it ... and I super like the new design of the
2016 front bumper so will it fit on my raid ?
if not ... what about the 2015 or 2014 bumpers ?

Oh ... and for the 14/15 hood lines will not match in bad way ?
so do you recommend keep using the 2012 bumper ?

14-15 bumper would require new headlights/foglights and all the support behind it, ZL1 bumper should match up

I really wish that some would make an actual 2014 2015 Camaro bumper integrate the ZL1 lower bottom grill and Lights. Because was thinking changeing stock v6 bumper to the ss..but not really that big of a difference..and the zl1 bumper is sweet..but like the slim 14 and 15 lights

As SSEssence stated before you guys are just thinking of the exterior bumper cover but once you pull it off you will find the headlights are mounted into the framework of the body. Foglights would be ok though as they are integrated with the bumper cover. You would need someone to make an adapter to mount the newer 14-15 headights in the 10-13 framework I would think assuming they would fit lol. Most likely GM made some mods to the framework to make them fit though.

All you guys need is a few fabrication skills.

Here's the 2010 Camaro SS nose I put on my el camino in late 2009'.

Here's the 2016 SS nose I fit last year, not painted yet.

In my designs, I made my fiberglass g-body hood as part of the upper nose fascia, like 3rd gen f-bodies. You can see where I cut & rebonded parts of my hood corners to match the drastic shape difference of the 2016 models, as I haven't ground them down & reglassed yet.

Metal parts can be shaped & welded up easy enough by someone with metal fab skills, but modifying teo plastic bumpers the way I did takes learning hot air welding skills, along with making wood templates to hold shapes as you heat the plastic to reshape where needed. Hot air welding is the strongest method & with the backside of repaired areas being thicker are stronger than the original thin ass plastic is. Flexible poly or epoxy filler can be used. Glues will shadow over time for a fabrication type repair & fiberglasses don't truly bond to plastic, popping apart when taking a hit or a hard flex.

All fiberglass construction is another option, which is more workable than plastic. Fiberglass can be constantly cut, v-shaped & reglassed from each side, added on top of, ground off, etc. A good epoxy primer and /or polyester primer surfacer can seal it all off. traditional quality polyester body fillers can be used. A crappy duraflex fiberglass bumper could be purchased, worked to properly fit the vehicle & modified as needed. I was going to take their 2015 bumper & mod to a 2016 like version, but I came across a barely damaged 2016 nose fascia pretty quickly & went with it instead. Twin running lights were also my own modification from stock.

Crash support shapes may need trimming also.

2016 is a completely different car, you can't just swap any parts.

Hope this gives a little insight to what is possible to those who can fabricate. Never say never.

How hard would it be to get a z28 rear diffuser to fit on a 2013 ZL1? And while I'm asking, you think 2017 ZL1 side skirts would bolt up to a 2013 ZL1? Thanks..

I don't have the hands on experience with your model, but it looks like a 5th gen z diffusor should be a bolt on swap. You could check the part # for your bumper & the z-28 bumper to see if they are a match for each other. Also their is at least one aftermarket Z-28 look diffusor.

As far a 2017 skirts just simply bolting up to a 2013, I assume I'm safe to say NO. Could they be modified to fit??? probably so.
