Need Ideas
I don't have enough money to afford a nice exhaust but I need ideas on how to make my car sound better and louder. Are there any recommendations on how to do it with a budget of $400 for parts (I'm not worried about labor costs, just part costs)? Thanks.

I take it you are a V6. Start with a CAI, then go with NPP factory exhaust. Loud when you want it, not stupid sounding in regular driving.... Drone. Resonators and x-pipe will also give you the sound you want to achieve. CAI is $400, x-pipe is $150. Cat back NPP I think is $800. Resonators $150. Try CAI first.

If you scour the members classified section for v6s here in the c5 forums, you could find a pair of MRT mufflers and a nice CAI for around $400. Both can be installed yourself in less than a couple hours.
