camaro exhaust
hey everyone this is my first post and i was just wondering what your thoughts are on the exhaust tuning on the the v8. the concept car sounds pretty amazing in my opinion. how close to you think they will go to the concepts sound and was there any specific word from the disciples on how the close to production cars sounded?

I'm going to put some of those cool shoes I've been reading so much about on the tips of my exhaust!

Just like most cars where you actually care about the sound, I'm not going to keep the stock exhaust on mine. Almost all stock cars are too quiet for the image they're meant to portray.
I'll put full custom exhaust on mine and I hope to GOD the engine is plenty modifiable and that the computer isn't too damn fidgety, since if that's the case I'll put in a mild cam for that awesome lope. |

From what I can gather, GM has spent a considerable amount of time "tuning" the exhaust for just the right sound.
I'm confident that we'll like what we hear. |

I'm pretty sure it'll sound very nice to begin with, but I also know that a car with modded exhaust can sound pretty damned evil. So most likely will mod it in either case.

Depends, if I can get a little more power out of it, I'll mod my exgaust. If all I get is like 10 or 20 hp more, it's not worth voiding my warrantee.
If the care sounds anything like it did on the Nurbergerbering, then I should be more than pleased.

Stock won't be loud enough for me. I'm definitely going mod--the most free-flowing exhaust system out there. But it will be a sleeper because I'll keep the original tailpipes and I'll have the body kit for it, so want to keep the lines clean.
I had a 3" stainless steel system on my '95 Z-28 and it would set off car alarms and shake buildings--only thing about it was it was obvious the car had a modded exhaust with 2 huge 18" long chrome tailpipes sticking out the back!
