14 2LT Manual Bind?
Hey guys, my 14 2LT has an issue or if it is "normal" based on doing a little bit of the search feature...bout the AY6
Whenever im idle, neutral... I push the clutch all way to the floor and attempt to switch to first. Rarely, it binds and won't go into 1st it moves over a little bit.. but doesn't fully engadge.. So i have to rinse and repeat and it'll work the 2nd time.. Has this been addressed/issue before? |

I think the owners manual even calls the situation out (and basically says to deal with it... double clutch and move on). However, I will say, since changing out my fluid a few weeks ago (while doing a few other things... new shifter and clutch primarily) that it hasn't happened. However, given that I did change my shifter and clutch at the same time, I can't 100% say that the fluid alone is to blame.

I still have this happen every now and then, and I've already swapped my fluid for mobil1 gear oil.
I usually have to do a quick pull down to second, then back up and it hits. The syncros seem weird on this trans.

Thanks for the comments, i will go ahead and just drive it as it is. I will probably swap fluids whenever all the warranties are shot.

I recommend doing the trans and diff fluids ASAP. The stuff that comes out is disgusting, and it's a very easy DIY

I use the same thing as in the diff. Mobil 1 75-90 gear oil. I recommend just doing both at the same time since it's the same fluid.
