Without tune
Going to install American racing header and off road pipe in my garage.my question is the tuner shop about 20 miles from my house and want to drive my car there.would it hurt the motor driving it to the shop that far?

I drove my ss for about 2 weeks without a tune after installing long tube headers and 3" back to my npp cans. you will get a delayed response o2 signal code because the they are moved farther down the exhaust but will be fine, run fine just not to its full potential.

On my 2010 2ss i put headers on in 2009 and to this day have not done a tune, on my 2014 Z/28 have headers on it for the last 2+ years with no tune, and i track that car all the time

Same setup here. Been about 5k miles both track ( 4 events ) and street, no tune and I don't plan on getting a tune.

No tune on mine, occasionally its a little stinky but no issues otherwise except for the check engine light.

No tune but occasionally an SES light for delayed response 02 sensor

You guys should all get your Z tuned. There is more power to be picked up with the tune then you will ever get with longtube headers.

There is a way to fix the 02 sensor light, need to get some 02 extenders, that will fix it, no more light, there like $12 a set, and move the sensor out of the flame so they run cooler, that will fix it.
