A/C Stopped Out of Nowhere after cam swap?

Any ideas on what could of happened?

My A/C was blowing ice cold air prior to gettting cam swap done. Didn't touch anything to do with the A/C initially until I accidentally clipped the A/C belt on accident during my disassembly.

So I removed the A/C belt, and after cam swap, tune, and all of that, I finally put a new belt on. I went to Firestone, and had my A/C system flushed and topped off with frion. However, when we were there they weren’t able to find out why the compressor wouldn’t kick on. The clicking never starts, and the compressor itself doesn’t power on.
We checked the fuses, and all looked fine. They then said there would be a charge to “chase the electrical”, and that is when I called it quits at Firestone.

Could they have messed something up refilling the frion, I know the process, and know it doesn’t have anything to do with anything electrical. Or what am I missing? Anything else I can check? I find it very hard to believe that my compressor would just magically crap out in a major coincidence the same time I swapped my cam and had to replace the A/C belt..

Any help or suggestions in advance is very much appreciated…

If it doesn't have enough, or if it has too much Freon it won't turn on. They definitely screwed up something. Why would you have it flushed? Was there a failure of the compressor? The only reason to have an a/c system flushed is failure of the compressor or the system has been open for a long time allowing debris and moisture into the system. They sold you a snake oil.

It wasn't "flushed" I supposed I used the wrong term there. I meant it was topped off because I figured it just if been low so compressor wouldn't start.

Now I know it's full and it still won't turn on -

How do you know it's full, and not over filled? I'm not trying to be a jerk, it just sounds like it. I'm just trying to sort out what's going on.

No not at all I appreciate the help!

I took it to firestone who said it was a little low and they had it topped off. Said would be quick job.

Two hours later they said compressor wouldn't kick on the entire time they tried and that they'd have to charge me more to "chase electrical".

I don't know if there are any other fuses to check, high/low pressure switches or what. I can't believe it would be a coincidence that it would work flawlessly before cam swap and then just nothing after.

In the morning when I'm at work I'll look on SI how the system works and sort it out and get back to you. I haven't worked on a Camaro A/C system so I don't want to give you an off the hip answer or direction without information.

Unfortunately they have a pressure sensor, not a switch so you can't just jump it to see if it's a control issue or fill issue. Best I can do for you from the internet is suggest you check the compressor clutch and your pressure sensor are both securely connected, verify the fuse is good, and maybe swap around the relay with another. Other than that you will need a tech2 to start diagnosis. If none of those are the issue I still suspect an under/overfill concern.
