Wondering if this is one of our members...

Just stumbled across this video and wondered if it may be one of forum members.

Also, it was interesting to hear Matt Farah's statement about the fact that journalists tend to always gush over the hot new thing and and that after a lot of GT350R seat time (he owns one...) that he re-appreciates the Z. Didn't go as far as saying that it was better, but that they are really, really close.

One of the first videos i watched before i bought mine. I have to be honestand say It had some influence in my decision to go Z28 instead of 1LE.

I agree. I also think GM's marketing missed a little. They targeted track day junkies too much for the Z/28. Meanwhile, Ford's marketing correctly marketed their GT350/GT350R simply as a very special version of the Mustang.

It's shame that Z/28 didn't receive a big cult following like the car deserves. I'm hoping this new 6th gen Z/28 gets it when it comes out.

That was me. I like Matt because he is very honest in his discussion of cars. What you see in his videos is how he really is.

He does not own a GT350R by the way. He was willing to pay retail but not any more, but no one at Ford would make it happen. Kind of sucks too, because he is a real Ford guy.

Definitely a great video and I have always respected Matt's opinion. He is one of the few who seems very real and down to earth. Good to see a white Z/28 also! Looked killer.

Very cool video! I always wondered if Matt was really like he seems in videos, where he comes off as a super cool dude. It's funny watching the video where he tests the GT350R, which he absolutely gushes over.....well deserved I'm sure. It sure feels like the GT350R is an extremely rare exotic compared to our Z/28s, though the performance difference is minor. Personal preference, but I like the looks of the Z better, but I'm biased of course. I was actually looking at 350Rs, but you can't find one for less than $25k over sticker.....crazy! Just looked up production numbers and there were 526 built in 2016.....sounds like more in 2017, but no final numbers yet.

2017 R's built is officially out at 1,000
2018 R's will be as many as they can build to meet demand! 2018 allocations are out now and all R's built after June will be 2018's.

Z will continue to be a "rare" beast!

Great info! I can see R owners right now screaming "Nooooooooooo! Do not build as many as you can!" The ones that have their R's for sale are gonna hate when prices drop like rocks if they build 3000+ of these.......
