turbos like oil....simple, reliable, cheap.

Exactly what benefits would an oil-less give you in the real world ? Especially as they need water lines routed to/from them anyway and have a fairly short service life before needing re-greased.

And I'd say are still very unproven long term.

I'm with Stevie. I thought about going oil-less as well but good feedback is hard to find and you have to run water anyway. IMHO, the extra $ is not worth it.

I just installed a pair of comp oiless 2.0 6465 turbos on my agp kit. Only have 60-70 miles and 5 track passes but so far no problems. I was tired of the oil smoke etc from having to run a scavenge pump setup. Much cleaner setup imo

If you have smoke from using a scavenge pump, you've done something very wrong.

Oil smoke out the exhaust is from a bad seal in the turbo. I had a trail of smoke after shifts (high boost to high vacuum very quick). Replaced one of the turbos and that problem went away.

I just responded to you PM. It definitely sounds like something is not setup right. Are your turbos getting proper oiling? What oil are you using? No reason they should lock up.

You got something ain't right. I have the journal bearings turbos; had them running hard for over 29,000miles and many, many 1/4-mile runs, road course, etc. Ain't got no oil smoke. Only smoke out the back end is tire smoke.

AGP setup with the white "Porsche" scavenger pump.

Someone is doing something very very wrong there then.

Exactly what kit and who installed it ? Clearly the car needs taken somewhere competent at this sort of thing, as it should be very easy to get right.
